Training of CBEC and CBDT Officers

Training of CBEC and CBDT Officers
Ref: TIOL-DDT 2419 dated 20th August, 2014.
Attention is invited to the post titled “About Hundred Crores spent/wasted on CBDT Officers’ foreign Jaunts”.
It is correct that the Officers concerned are expected to provide the details of the usefulness of training to the nation. Whether they were asked to submit the paper/thesis for circulation among the Departmental Officers after the foreign tour? Whether the services of these Officers have been utilized in the training institutes of CBEC and CBDT at Faridabad and Nagpur respectively?

Re :Training of CBEC and CBDT Officers

This is nothing but a sheer pleasure trip on the cost of exchequer. every year such mid career training is there for Additional and again as Commissioner. Had so far any positive result???? Nothing at all. Why such programmes cannot be by way of video conferencing or by invitation from abroad at NACEN, which would be having more coverage and less burden on exchequer. Mr. P.M. may take some drastic steps in this direction.
