LEGAL EDITOR

Following are the broad highlights of the assignments the selected candidates would be expected to undertake, upon associating with TIOL.

A. Analysis of the fiscal policy, trade policy and the monetary policy.

B. Analysis of the judgments and orders of the Supreme Court, various High Courts and the Tribunals on matters primarily pertaining to taxation laws, corporate laws and other financial laws.

C. Preparing specialized head notes of various judicial decisions, strictly based on the style and format developed by TIOL.

D. Keeping a constant watch on the changes in the policy, for instance changes in the Foreign Direct Investment Policy, etc., latest legal developments, issue of notifications/Circulars/rules/regulations by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, etc.

E. Contribution to the website by writing well-researched articles/columns/papers on relevant legal and other contemporary issues, from time to time.

F. Legal reporting of the news and current affairs highlighting the legal complexities of the issues and their ramifications.

G. Regular interaction with senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Members of Tribunals, and other judicial authorities.

H. Constant reviewing/monitoring the contents uploaded on the website and keeping them updated from time to time.

Skills Required:

A. Candidates must be willing to associate with TIOL on a full time basis.

B. Candidates with prior exposure to editorial assignments will be given preference.

C. Candidates must be law graduates from recognized institutions.

D. The position would primarily involve editorial assignments therefore, the candidates are expected to possess reasonable comprehending and drafting skills.

E. Candidates must possess skills to understand the complexities in the orders of Tribunals and judgments of Courts, and thereafter capture their essence in a concise and lucid language.

F. Candidates must reflect interest to work in a wide gamut of laws, especially taxation laws and other financial laws

ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

Major Key Result Areas:

-Maintaining all types of Accounts Manual & Computerized (Excel & Software both).

-Accounting Entries though Tally.

-Reporting of Service tax, Income Tax, TDS, Excise duties.

-Ensuring proper maintenance of book of accounts.

VIDEO EDITOR

Key Result Areas

    • Video Editor shall be responsible for creating, editing videos for TIOL brands, and for those of its many blue chip clients.
    • Hands on experience in Chroma Removal, Color Correction, sound editing & backdrop designing.
    • Ability to meet deadlines while withstanding pressure to raise the creative bar, is the minimum expectation.
    • Must be a self starter who continually spends spare time at work to tweak and create new opening animations, graphics, etc.
    • Must eventually become an Video Commando who can shoot video, tweak audio, create motion graphics and add VFX to produce well finished videos.

The candidate must have a good command over the following softwares

  • Adobe Photoshop

Education Qualification: Any Graduate/ Post Graduate.

Experience: 2-4 Years of Relevant Experience.

 

EXECUTIVE - CONTENT ENTRY

Key Result Areas:

- Prepare source data for entry by opening and sorting mail; verifying and logging receipt of data; obtaining missing data.

- Record data by operating data entry equipment; coding information; resolving processing problems.

- Enter data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information using an established procedure and through a detailed web based interface.

- Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.

- Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from multiple systems when information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
