ASI installing machines to accept digital payments for tickets

NEW DELHI, MAR 16, 2017: ARCHAEOLOGICAL Survey of India (ASI) has started installing Point of Sale (POS) machines at the ticketed monuments to encourage cashless purchase of entry tickets. The detail of monuments is given below.

Out of 3686 centrally protected monuments, only 116 monuments are ticketed monuments.

No specific target has been fixed. However, service provider Banks have been requested to install the POS machine at the ticketed monuments on priority.
