ACC clears key appointments; Kanungo is New Dy Governor of RBI; Rubu Srivastava, IRS, goes to NPCIL

NEW DELHI, MAR 11, 2017: THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments:

(i) Mr B.P. Kanungo, to the post of Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vice Mr R. Gandhi, for a period of three years with effect from the date of taking over the charge i.e. on or after 3.4.2017 or until further orders, whichever is earlier;

(ii) Mr U. Venkateswarlu, IAS (TR:1986), Financial Commissioner, ESIC under the Ministry of Labour & Employment as Joint Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, on lateral shift basis, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined period of seven years of central deputation upto 14.10.2017 or until further orders, whichever is earlier by temporarily upgrading a newly created vacant post of Director in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment to JS level for a period of two years;

(iii) Mr Vinod Kumar Tiwari, IFoS (HP: 1986) as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Manoj K. Pingua, IAS (CG:1994);

(iv) Ms. Ruby Srivastava, IRS (IT:86) as Director (Finance), NPCIL under the Department of Atomic Energy, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period upto her superannuation on 28.02.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr R. Preman Dinaraj, IA&AS (1984);

(v) Ms. Anita Karwal, IAS (GJ: 1988) as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Ms. Satbir Bedi, IAS (AGMUT:1986);

(vi) Mr Venudhar Reddy Nukala, I. Info Service (1988) as Joint Secretary, Department of Investment & Public Asset Management, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Ashok Pal Singh, IPoS (1986);

(vii) Ms. Niva Singh, IRAS (1988) as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Ms. Rakhee Gupta Bhandari, IAS (PB:1997);

(viii) Ms. Vandita Kaul, IPoS (1989) as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Mr A.V. Patil, IAS (TN:1998);

(ix) Mr Raman Kant Mishra, IFoS (PB:1990) as Additional DG (JS level), National Museum under the Ministry of Culture, ( keeping the recruitment rules for the post in abeyance) from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for the balance period of his overall five year central deputation tenure upto 17.03.2018 or until further orders, whichever is earlier;

(x) Ms. Sandhya Shukla, IA&AS (1991) as Financial Commissioner, ESIC under the Ministry of Labour & Employment from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr U. Venkateswarlu, IAS (TR:1986);

(xi) Mr Bhanu Pratap Yadav, IA&AS (1992) as Joint Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Mr T. Kapoor, IAS (HP:1987);

(xii) Mr Ashok K. R. Parmar, IAS (JK:1992) as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Mihir K. Singh, IAS (BH:1993);

(xiii) Ms. Aparna S. Sharma, CSS as Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Avinash P. Das Joshi, IAS (AM:1994);

(xiv) Sh. Mr Prakash, CSS as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Ms. Veena K. Meena, IAS (UP:1993);

(xv) Mr Mihir K. Singh, IAS (BH: 1993), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, on lateral shift basis, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of overall five year central deputation tenure upto 21.01.2020 or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Adhithela J.V. Prasad, IAS (HP:1986);

(xvi) Mr Manoj K. Pingua, IAS (CG:1994), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, on lateral shift basis, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for the balance period of overall five year central deputation period upto 18.03.2019 or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Ms. Anshu Sinha, IAS (MH:1999);

(xvii) Mr Chandrakar Bharti, IAS (UT:1996) as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Mr Kamlesh K. Pant, IAS (HP:1993);
