ACC appoints Malay Kumar Sinha, Special Director, IB, as Secretary (Security) in Cabinet Secretariat

NEW DELHI, FEB 12, 2016: THE Competent Authority has approved the following appointments:

(i) Appointment of Mr Malay Kumar Sinha, IPS (UP:1981), Special Director, IB as Secretary(Security), Cabinet Secretariat vice Mr Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, IAS(UT:1980), Secretary(Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat who is holding additional charge of the post.

(ii) Assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary (Performance Management), Cabinet Secretariat to Ms Aradhana Johri, IAS (UP:1980), Chairperson, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention vice Mr Ramesh Abhishek, IAS (BH:1982) who has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, for a period of three months or till appointment of a regular incumbent to that post or till further orders, whichever is the earliest.

(iii) Appointment of Mr Girish Shankar, IAS (BH:1982), Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs as Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises vice Mr Rajan S Katoch, IAS (MP:1979) on his superannuation on 29.02.2016.

(iv) (a) Creation of a post of Officer on Special Duty (Secretary level) in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion by upgrading the vacant post of Additional Secretary in that Department for the period till 29.02.2016.

(b) Appointment of Mr Ramesh Abhishek, IAS (BH:1982), Secretary (Performance Management), Cabinet Secretariat as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion with immediate effect in the rank and pay of Secretary.

(c) Appointment of Mr Ramesh Abhishek, IAS (BH:1982) as Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry vice Mr Amitabh Kant, IAS (KL:1980) on his superannuation on 29.02.2016.

(v) Extension in Service to Mr Ratan P Watal, IAS (AP:1978), Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance for a period of two months i.e. upto 30.04.2016.
